This is an important day in our corporate expansion, as we introduce PAI Hotels in Europe, the event marked with an announcement by Alex Zheng, the Brand Architect, President and Founder of Plateno Group in a public statement. Mr. Zheng also introduced our Plateno Collection brand that will feature what we dubbed as the world’s only “Hotels fashion shows.” Our clients can expect innovating, fashion forward, design hotels opening in December 2016.
Plateno Collection is an idea we introduced last year, and we worked extensively to see it to fruition. Over the last decade, Plateno expanded from satisfying Chinese hotel guests, with the introduction of budget brand 7 Days Hotels, to creating properties where creativity and fashion play paramount roles. Confident that this year’s fashion show will be a resounding success and a trendsetter, Mr. Zheng hat the following to say about the role of Plateno Collection 2016 on Plateno redefining hotels:
“In the past, when we were talking about hotel experience, we would compare functions of each brand, such as facilities and services. While now, I think we should take emotional factors into account, including value proposition and tonality. When you come to a hotel, in addition to facilities and services, you would also consider whether you have good feelings towards it and whether you match each other in style and taste.”
Alex Zheng is a Chinese billionaire with a passion for growing travel brands. He is the orchestrator of the 7 Days franchise and several other upmarket hotels. In 2007 he was named among the “Most Innovative People of the Chinese Hotel Industry.”
Today, Plateno is considered a young company run by Millennials, in Generation Y-centric style, a point well exhibited at last year’s fashion event. The coming Plateno Collection 2017, from December 9th to 11th in Guangzhou, will feature Mr. Zheng’s vision of the hotel as an experiential hub, rather than simply a destination to crash at.
Plateno Collection 2017 will feature strong international style and more compelling interactions with customers. More brands, more influential online celebrities, and more KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders), along with added communication channels will appear for the first time.
Plateno Collection 2017 is a 3-day event that will include Members’ Day, Recruiting Day, and Investors’ Day. Plateno will invite all the elites in tourism and hospitality industry to take part in the interviews at the show, offering unique exposure opportunities. The event is publicized with in-house social media networks and channels including Wechat, Weibo, Plateno Trip APP, official Websites, and others. The event is expected to attract more than 2,000 senior investors and over 20,000 fans to the show with its direct influence reaching out to more than 100 million people.
